With over 300 girls enrolled—Metro’s highest number to date—this milestone summer is reaching students from neighborhoods like Little Village, Pilsen, and North Lawndale. Girls in grades 3–12 are immersed in a blend of academics, mentorship, and career apprenticeships in fields such as Engineering, Business, Health Care, Hospitality, and Communications.
Led by an all-female staff, Metro creates a safe, inspiring space where girls can thrive. As one student shared during the Fox 32 segment, “Last year, I was really struggling in math, and then after the program, I really improved.”
Metro’s model works: for 26 consecutive years, 100% of seniors have graduated high school and been accepted into four-year colleges.
