What is the Circle of Champions?

YOU hold the key to unlocking a child's potential

The Circle of Champions is a leadership annual giving club established by Midtown
Educational Foundation in 2008 to provide a steady, reliable source of funding for MEF’s after-school and summertime programs.

You can play a major role in the life of an at-risk child by joining the Circle.

Become a Champion today

Membership in the Circle of Champions entails a minimum unrestricted gift of $1,000 or more, above and beyond giving to MEF special events. All Circle gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Since character education is a key component of MEF programs, Circle giving tiers reflect the programs’ emphasis on virtue:

  • The Loyalty Level ($5,000 and above) – representing loyalty toward MEF’s vision of transforming lives of at-risk youth in Chicago.
  • The Integrity Level ($2,500 to $4,999) – representing dedication to providing MEF kids with the one-on- one attention they need and crave.
  • The Hope Level ($1,000 to $2,499) – representing your hope for children from underserved communities.

What will your donation do?

$1,500 donation covers after-school programming for one child.
$3,000 donation covers after-school & summertime programs for a full year for one child.
$5,000 donation covers three students in the apprenticeship program entering their sophomore, junior and senior years in high school. Students are offered hands-on project work from experts in their field, listen to career speakers and go on a field trip.

Each year, on your enrollment anniversary due date, we will remind you of your pledge.

Yes! I'd like to Champion a child's future!
