The Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF) operates the Midtown Center for boys and the Metro Achievement Center for girls. These centers help youngsters to become better students and better people through after-school and summertime programs that integrate academics with virtues.

The Midtown Educational Foundation is a special place, made special by all the kids and volunteers who come through its doors.

Midtown Welcomes New Director John Heybach Print

John HeybachBorn and reared in the Chicago area, John joins us as Director of the Midtown Center following a career in research & development and business management in the U.S. and Europe and his own business interests in the US. John has been married for 37 years to Sue, an educator at Sacred Heart and Hardey Prep academy and has two grown children and two grown foster children. John is a graduate of St. Ignatius High School, has a PhD from Northern Illinois University and a Masters in Management from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. John is currently Chairman of the board of Saint Mary of the Angels School and on the national board, and President of the Illinois Chapter, of the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association, USA. John lives in Lincoln Park with his wife and son.

 
15th Annual Golf Outing Print

golfSave the date for the Midtown Educational's 15th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 9, 2008. 

Come join Chicago Bears' coaches for this year's event held at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  We'll have scramble format for golfers of all levels.  Tee off times are 7:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.

3rd Annual Midtown Meander Print

Midtown MeanderLace up your gym shoes and get involved in this 5K race & family walk. The race course is flat, scenic, and 5 km long out and back (USATF certified), along the shores of Lake Michigan.
