Volunteer Opportunities: Be A Tutor-Mentor!

Volunteer just 2 hours once a week!

Tutor-mentor positions now available at Midtown for boys and Metro for girls.

As a tutor-mentor at Midtown or Metro, you spend your first 30 minutes in social time, whether playing team sports with the guys, getting tutoring tips from a pro, getting to peek at the girls' electives in art, dance, or music, or catching a break from the workday by munching on some snacks and chatting with fellow tutor-mentors in the volunteer lounge, a kids-free zone.

Then you spend the next 90 minutes mentoring your student. Midtown and Metro is unique in that each volunteer is paired with the same student each week, so you build a unique relationship based on trust and friendship. Coach them on their homework, weakest school subjects, and impart any wisdom as a role model on life. Make a difference in the life of a child this spring!

Our volunteers are working professionals and college students from all over Chicago. No previous experience necessary. Tutor training and orientation provided. Conveniently located near downtown Chicago, close to public transportation.
