Midtown Educational Foundation would like to officially thank Shriya Ravikumar for a job well done, working with the Individual/Major Gifts Committee of the MEF Board. This year, we welcome Anthony Lee, who will work with MEF on evaluation and marketing/strategic planning. We are honored to have amazing talent in these Kellogg Board Fellows, who donate their time outside of their hectic graduate school schedule, as they pursue their MBA at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.

Shriya Ravikumar (2011-2012 Kellogg Board Fellow)

Shriya was born in India, raised in Singapore, and moved to Houston, TX shortly before she started her undergraduate program at The University of Texas, at Austin (UT), where she pursued a finance degree. It was during her time at UT that Shriya discovered her passion for education and literacy programs . At UT, she served as the President of the Austin chapter of Pratham, a grassroots literacy organization focused on rural India. Upon graduation, Shriya went on to work for KPMG, LLP and continued pursing her interests by serving as a project steward for Asha for Education (Asha), a program similar to Pratham that targeted multiple underserved segments.

In the fall of 2010, Shriya joined the Kellogg School of Management (Kellogg) to pursue her MBA degree. Having gained a progressional learning experience from foundational fundraising to specific project management from her previous experiences, she looked to expand her experience with non-profit management and applied to the Kellogg Board Fellows program, which would allow her to serves as a non-voting member of a non-profit board for a year. It was through this program that Shriya came to be a part of the Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF) and work with the Individual Major Gifts Committee.

Shriya recently graduated from Kellogg (Spring 2012), and will be moving back to Houston, TX to pursue a career in management consulting with Bain & Company. In Houston, Shriya is looking forward to further developing her experience in the non-profit world, specifically regarding programs that cater to education and literacy.
